5/22/2023 0 Comments Whispers from the East by Amie Ali![]() ![]() The title was the result of a huge amount of brainstorming. How did the title of this book come about? I think every woman I have spoken with that is in this type of relationship will see a bit of herself in all the characters. None of the characters are based on any one person or experience. I felt like these stories needed to be heard. ![]() Some are wonderful, some are terrible, and some are just like any other relationship that doesn’t cross cultural and religious barriers. The stories I hear from the women who pass through and my friends who have committed to the group are amazing. I am a part of a support group for Western women who are born to non-Western born Muslim men. Where did the idea for Whispers from the East come from? I’m your host Toi Thomas, author of Eternal Curse, and today I’m sharing a special interview with author, Amie Ali, about her fiction book entitled, Whispers from the East. Greetings readers, bloggers, geeks, and authors and welcome to The ToiBox of Words. ![]()

But, as I know that strength arising from obedience has a way of simplifying things which seem impossible, my will very gladly resolves to attempt this task… It is a masterpiece of Christian mystical literature and one of the most wrinkled and marked up of all Betty’s beloved “Rubber Band Books.”įew tasks which I have been commanded have been so difficult as this present one of writing about matter relating to prayer: for one reason, because I do not feel that the Lord has given me either the spirituality or the desire for it for another, because for the last three months I have been suffering from such noises and weakness in the head that I find it troublesome to write even about necessary business. As a result, it is delightfully self-deprecating and conversational, yet written with powerful certitude and wisdom that can only come from firsthand experience. I love to use quality books for my younger child to read as part of her homeschool reading lessons. For older readers, this will resonate for sure! The audience ranged in age from 8 to 15, and they all enjoyed it! I enjoyed it as well, so don’t be shy about picking this book up too, parents! Priscilla does an amazing job of capturing what’s it’s like to be in a spiritual battle. I read it as a “read aloud” this summer to my children and a couple of their cousins who were visiting us for a week. In fact, the book’s website points out all the “Secrets” where Priscilla Shirer has used the scene to parallel the spiritual temptation and warfare that Christians face. Best of all, it is steeped with religious allegory. ![]() ![]() For example, the book mentions Minecraft and iPhones! It’s an easy read and relatable for kids. I would compare the first book, The Prince Warriors, in her new trilogy along the lines of Narnia written in modern verbiage. Priscilla Shirer is probably best known for her women’s ministry and powerful speaking style as well as her acting debut in the movie, “War Room.” But, her talents as a children’s fiction writer are equally as impressive. ![]() 5/22/2023 0 Comments The time machine book price![]() ![]() ![]() As evidenced by his involvement in the establishment of the League of Nations, Wells was continually involved with questions of social reform.
